Privacy Policy
Last Updated: May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Pod Penguin (“Pod Penguin,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and weekly digest service. By using Pod Penguin, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture from Google. We use your email address to deliver your weekly digest and to communicate with you about your account.
Service data. We store the podcasts you follow, your plan and subscription status, your activity within the service (such as digests sent, pauses, and cancellations), and content you submit (waitlist signups, contact form messages, feedback).
Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are collected and processed by our third-party payment provider. We do not store full payment card numbers. We retain a record of your transactions (amount, date, plan, last four digits) for billing and accounting.
Technical data. Like most websites, our servers automatically receive limited technical information when you visit, including IP address, browser type, device type, and timestamps. We use this for security, debugging, and basic service operation.
Cookies and local storage. We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as theme and selected shows), and operate the service.
Analytics. We use a third-party analytics service to understand how visitors find and use Pod Penguin (aggregate pageviews, traffic sources, device types, and similar measurements). This service may set cookies and collect information such as your IP address and browsing activity on our site. We do not use this information for advertising.
